As we look toward August 2026, many of us are preparing for mid-year performance reviews. It is a natural time to pause and look back at what has been accomplished so far. At Island Advantage, I want to help you move beyond just listing tasks and start using the language of outcomes.
Instead of focusing on what you did, try focusing on what you changed. A simple way to structure your reflection is to ask yourself: What have I grown? What have I fixed? What have I saved? These three words shift the conversation from busywork to actual value.
Using AI for Self-Reflection
If you are using tools like Microsoft 365 Copilot to help gather your thoughts, remember to handle your data responsibly. Here is a prompt you can use to identify your wins:
"Review my sent items and documents from the last three months. Help me list three major contributions where I grew revenue, fixed a broken process, or saved time for the team."
Let's make this mid-year review your strongest one yet.
